Canary Wharf is a modern business & shopping development located in the Isle of Dogs in London, also called the "Docklands". Canary Wharf has rapidly become the new financial hub of England, possibly Europe.
Canary Wharf is home to many corporate banks includinf Credit Suisse, HSBC, Citigroup, Lehman Brothers, Morgan Stanley, Bank of America and Barclays as well as Reuters and the Daily Mirror.
Canary Wharf is connected to central London via the Canary Wharf DLR (Docklands Light Railway) station and the Jubilee Line. Heron Quays DLR station is also nearby. London City Airport is a just few miles further to the east servicing mainly European destinations and can be accessed by bus, taxi and DLR.
The Thames Clipper river-boat service from Canary Wharf Pier provides a great commuter river boat services to Greenwich in the east and the City of London and the West End of London. |
