We are looking for teams for this year’s football tournament. The event itself is a football tournament at the David Beckham Academy with 32 sides representing local teams, corporations and international countries. The winning side will play a team of ex-Premiership legends for the Sue Ryder Cup.
There will be about 250 people in the tournament, plus guests, including Martina Czeh, Chelsea footballer Petr Czeh’s wife. Premiership legends present last year included Ray Parlour (Arsenal), Kerry Dixon (Chelsea) and Paul Parker (Manchester United). 1966 World Cup WInner Martin Peters MBE is hosting the Cup this year, look out for his interview in The Wharf.
This year we also have an after party at the IndigO2 club so even teams who did not make it to the final will be able to mingle with the ex-premiership players over a glass of bubbly!
The team pack cost is £1,200 this is for a squad of 8, plus 8 guests to support and attend the after party. In the past teams have been paid for by the company as a team building exercise, or the company has matched whatever figure the team players have fundraised, or the team completely fundraise the cost; - but it is completely up to the company and the team.
We have Team Microsoft and Anglo-Irish back for a second year, so this year looks set to be even better than last year. And of course will raise even more for our essential international care work which you can find information about on our website or I can email you a document.
